- Graduate Engineer Trainees (GETs) will undergo one-year training and will be paid a consolidated stipend of ₹50,000/- per month during training.
- After successful completion of training, they will be placed in Officers Grade E-2 with a probation period of one year.

Selection Process
The selection process consists of Computer Based Test (CBT) and Personal Interview.
For Graduate Engineer Trainees
- CBT will be of objective type with no negative marking.
- It will comprise 4 sections:
- Section A: Subject Knowledge (related to qualifying degree) – 80% of the questions.
- Section B: General Knowledge / Current Affairs.
- Section C: Knowledge of English Language.
- Section D: Reasoning & Numerical Ability.
For Assistant Officer Trainees
- CBT will be of objective type with no negative marking.
- It will comprise 3 sections:
- Section A: General Knowledge including questions on Indian and World Energy Scenario.
- Section B: Reasoning and Numerical Ability.
- Section C: Knowledge of English Language.
