About the Project
Applications are invited from eligible Indian nationals for the appointment of Research Assistant under the ICSSR-sponsored research project titled:
“From Community to Classroom: How Mother's Engagement in Self Help Groups Shapes Children's Educational Outcome: Evidence from West Bengal.”
This is a temporary research engagement offering an opportunity to work on a significant project exploring the intersection of women’s empowerment and child education outcomes in rural West Bengal.

Job Responsibilities
The Research Assistant will work in collaboration with other team members under the supervision of the Principal Investigator (Dr. Chayanika Mitra). Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting literature review related to the project theme.
- Assisting in questionnaire design and field survey preparation.
- Conducting data collection through primary field surveys in Dakshin Shibganj and Bhagabatpur villages under Pathar Pratima Gram Panchayat, South 24 Parganas.
- Sorting, organizing, and cleaning data for analysis.
- Preparing research reports and assisting in publication work.
