West Bengal State Electricity Transmission Company Limited (WBSETCL) has released the official notification for Apprenticeship Engagement 2026–27 under the Apprentices Act, 1961.

Online applications are invited from Graduate (Electrical), Diploma (Electrical) and ITI (Wireman / Electrician) candidates for apprenticeship training at WBSETCL substations and offices across West Bengal.

A total of 138 apprenticeship vacancies are available.

About WBSETCL Apprenticeship

WBSETCL is a Government of West Bengal undertaking responsible for electricity transmission across the state.
The apprenticeship programme provides practical exposure in high-voltage substations, grid operations and power transmission systems.

This apprenticeship is a training programme only and does not guarantee permanent employment.

Educational Qualification

Graduate Apprentice (Electrical)

• B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
• Degree completed in 2023, 2024 or 2025

Diploma Apprentice (Electrical)

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering
• Passed from WBSCTVESD-recognized institute

ITI Apprentice (Wireman / Electrician)

• Madhyamik or equivalent
• ITI (NCVT) in Wireman or Electrician trade

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 18 Years
• -Age calculated as per Madhyamik certificate

Selection Process

• No written examination
• Selection based on merit (marks percentage)
• Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification
• Final selection after verification
