About the Organisation (GRSE)

GARDEN REACH SHIPBUILDERS & ENGINEERS LIMITED (GRSE) is a Government of India undertaking under the Ministry of Defence. GRSE is a leading defence shipyard involved in shipbuilding and engineering projects for the Indian Navy and Coast Guard. The organisation conducts apprenticeship training every year under the Apprentices Act, 1961 to develop skilled manpower.

Trade-wise Vacancy Details

Trade Apprentice (Ex-ITI) – Approx. 80 Vacancies

Training Duration: 12 Months

Trade Apprentice (Fresher) – Approx. 40 Vacancies

ITI passed or ITI appearing candidates are NOT eligible for Fresher posts.

Graduate Apprentice – Approx. 40 Vacancies

Technician Apprentice – Approx. 60 Vacancies

Age Limit (as on 01.12.2025)

• Minimum Age: 14 Years
• Maximum Age:
  • Trade Apprentice (Ex-ITI): 25 Years
  • Trade Apprentice (Fresher): 20 Years
  • Graduate / Technician Apprentice: 26 Years

Age relaxation applicable for SC / ST / OBC-NCL / PwBD candidates as per Government rules.
