The Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) is India’s first multipurpose river valley project, established in 1948 across Jharkhand and West Bengal, with its headquarters in Kolkata. DVC is a leading integrated power utility with operations in Mining, Power Generation, Transmission & Distribution, Water Resource Management and Soil Conservation.

With an installed capacity of over 6700 MW across thermal, hydel and renewable assets, DVC is moving towards its vision of becoming a 12 GW integrated power major by 2030. To support its mining operations, DVC regularly engages experienced professionals on a contractual basis.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Diploma in Mining Engineering from a recognized institute
• Valid Overman Certificate of Competency issued by DGMS for Coal under CMR 2017 / CMR 1957
• Valid First Aid Certificate recognized by DGMS

Experience Requirement

• Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience as Overman in open cast coal mines

Age Limit

• Maximum Age: 55 years as on closing date of online application
• Age relaxation applicable as per Government of India rules

Period of Engagement

• Initial contract period: 5 years
• Extendable by 2 additional years based on annual performance review

Salary & Benefits

No HRA, FCA or Energy Allowance is admissible.
