About the Organization (DVC)

The Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) is a statutory organization under the Government of India, established in 1948 under the DVC Act, 1948. DVC operates in the states of West Bengal and Jharkhand and is engaged in power generation, transmission, distribution, flood control, irrigation, soil conservation, and socio-economic development of the Damodar Valley region.

DVC is one of India’s premier power utilities and regularly recruits engineering graduates for technical and managerial roles through national-level examinations such as GATE.

The Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) has released an official notification for the recruitment of Executive Trainees (ET) through GATE 2025. This recruitment is conducted as a special drive for backlog vacancies and is open to candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), and PwBD categories.

Selection will be made purely on the basis of GATE 2025 scores.

Pay Scale

• Pay Level: Level 10 (7th Central Pay Commission)
• Pay Scale: ₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500

Candidates will undergo a one-year probation period. After successful completion, they will be absorbed as Assistant Manager.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess a B.E. / B.Tech degree in the relevant engineering discipline from a recognized university or institution approved by AICTE.

Minimum qualifying marks:

• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 65%
• SC / ST / PwBD: 60%

Age Limit

• Maximum Age: 29 Years
• Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per Government of India rules.
• There is no upper age limit for DVC departmental candidates.

GATE 2025 Requirement

• Candidates must have appeared and qualified in GATE 2025.
• Only GATE 2025 scores will be considered for selection.
• Scores of previous GATE examinations will not be accepted.

Application Fee

• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): ₹300
• SC / ST / PwBD / Ex-Servicemen / DVC Employees: Exempted

The application fee is non-refundable and must be paid online.

Selection Process

• Selection will be based solely on GATE 2025 marks.
• Candidates will be shortlisted category-wise for Document Verification.
• Final merit list will be prepared based on GATE score only.
