The National Metallurgical Laboratory (NML) is a premier R&D institution under CSIR engaged in advanced research in metals, materials, minerals, sustainable metallurgy, corrosion science, hydrogen storage, high-temperature materials, extractive metallurgy, and national-level strategic projects.
CSIR–NML conducts recruitment for Project Staff to work on government-funded, CSIR-funded, and industry-sponsored projects. All posts are purely temporary and project-based.

Essential Qualifications
Project Associate–I
- M.Sc / B.Tech in relevant discipline
- Knowledge of analytical instruments preferred
Project Associate–II
- M.Sc / B.Tech + 2 years experience in R&D
Senior Project Associate
- Ph.D in Science/Engineering
- Experience in relevant project domain
Project Assistant
- B.Sc in Chemistry/Physics/Maths
- Laboratory skills desirable
Technical Assistant
- Diploma in Mechanical / Metallurgy / Chemical Engineering
JRF / SRF (Project)
- M.Sc + NET/GATE
Field Worker
- 10+2 / ITI with basic field skills
Age Limit
- Project Associate / JRF / SRF: 35 Years
- Senior Project Associate: 40 Years
- Project Assistant / Admin / Field Worker: 50 Years
