Vacancy Snapshot

Note: Engineering Assistant Trainees will undergo an initial training of six months with consolidated stipend ₹24,000/month. On successful completion and gradation test, they will be placed in the regular pay scales.

Pay Scales / Grade

• Engineering Assistant Trainee (EAT) — Grade: WG‑VII / CP‑VI — Pay Scale: ₹24,500‑3%‑₹90,000/- + allowances (after regularisation).
• Technician ‘C’ — Grade: WG‑IV / CP‑V — Pay Scale: ₹21,500‑3%‑₹82,000/- + allowances.
• EAT Stipend (training period): ₹24,000/month.

Eligibility (Key points)

• Nationality: Indian citizen.

• Age (as on 01.10.2025): Minimum 18 years — Maximum 28 years for General/EWS (post‑wise age limits noted in advertisement).

• Educational Qualification:

  • EAT: 3‑year Diploma in Engineering (relevant discipline).

    • General/OBC(EWS): Min 60% aggregate in essential qualification. SC/ST/PwBD: Min 50%.

  • Technician ‘C’: SSLC + ITI in relevant trade + 1 year apprenticeship (NAC) OR SSLC + 3‑year NAC in relevant trade.

    • General/OBC(EWS): Min 60% aggregate. SC/ST/PwBD: Min 50%.

• Employment Exchange: Valid & active Telangana State Employment Exchange registration is mandatory and must be valid as on 29.10.2025 (last date).

Selection Process & Exam Pattern

Method: Computer Based Test (CBT) — provisionally shortlisted candidates only. Admit cards available on BEL website after shortlisting.

CBT Structure (150 marks total):

• Part I — General Aptitude: 50 marks — logical reasoning, comprehension, basic numeracy, data interpretation, general knowledge.
• Part II — Technical Aptitude: 100 marks — discipline/trade specific technical questions (100 Qs).

Minimum Qualifying Marks:

• General / OBC (NCL) / EWS: 35% in each part.
• SC / ST / PwBD: 30% in each part.

Tie‑Breakers (in order):

1. Higher marks in Technical section
2. Higher marks in General Awareness section
3. Higher percentage in essential qualification
4. Seniority by date of birth (older candidate ranked higher)
