Essential Qualifications & Experience (summary)

General (DR)

• Education: Graduation or Post-Graduation with min. marks (60% for General/EWS/OBC; 50% for SC/ST/PwBD) or professional qualifications like CA.

DEPR

• Education: Master’s Degree in Economics (or related) with a minimum of 55%; equivalent MBAs with finance emphasis may also qualify.

DSIM

• Education: Graduation/Post-Graduation in Statistics, Mathematics, or related quantitative disciplines as specified in the notification.

Fees Details

Selection Process — Step-wise

Phase I – Preliminary Exam

• Objective-type test in General Awareness, Reasoning, Quant, English.
• Conducted country-wide.
• Marks used for shortlisting to Phase II.

Phase II – Main Examination

• General stream: Multiple papers—Economics, Finance, English writing, etc.
• DEPR/DSIM streams: Stream-specific papers including research, statistics, or economics.

Interview Round

• Shortlisted from Phase II.
• Final selection based on aggregate of all phases.
