North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited (NEEPCO), a Schedule–‘A’ Mini Ratna Category-I Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Power, Government of India, and a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Ltd., invites online applications for engagement of 98 Apprentices for the financial year 2025–26 under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961.
About NEEPCO
NEEPCO is engaged in the planning, design, and execution of power projects in Hydro, Thermal, and Solar sectors. The Corporation provides one-year apprenticeship training opportunities across its various power stations and project sites in the North Eastern Region.
Vacancy Details
1. Graduate Apprentice (Engineering)
Minimum Qualification:
- Degree in Engineering or Technology granted by a recognized Statutory University or Institution empowered by an Act of Parliament.
Stipend: ₹18,000 per month
Total Posts: 46
Disciplines / Locations:
- Electrical / Mechanical / Civil / IT across stations in Assam, Tripura, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, and Mizoram.
2. Technician Apprentice (Diploma)
Minimum Qualification:
- Diploma in Engineering or Technology granted by a recognized State Council, Board of Technical Education, or University.
Stipend: ₹15,000 per month
Total Posts: 26
Disciplines:
- Electrical / Mechanical / Civil / IT
3. Graduate Apprentice (Non-Engineering)
Minimum Qualification:
- Degree in Arts, Science, or Commerce (B.A, B.Sc, B.Com) of minimum three years duration from a recognized University or Institution.
Stipend: ₹15,000 per month
Total Posts: 18
Training Locations:
- Assam, Tripura, Mizoram, and NEEPCO Corporate Office, Shillong (Meghalaya)
4. Trade Apprentice (ITI)
Minimum Qualification:
- ITI passed in relevant trade (Electrician / Lineman / Plumber).
Stipend: ₹14,877 per month
Total Posts: 8
Training Locations:
- Power stations in Nagaland, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, and Tripura.
Eligibility Criteria
- Domicile: Candidate must be a resident of North Eastern India.
- Qualification Year:
- Graduate & Diploma Engineering: completed after 31 March 2024.
- Non-Engineering Graduate: completed after 31 March 2024.
- Minimum Marks:
- Graduate & Diploma Engineering: 40%
- Non-Engineering Graduate: 35%
- Age Limit:
- 18 to 28 years as on 01.09.2025.
- Relaxation as per Government of India norms (SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Ex-servicemen).
- Documents Required: Aadhaar Card (mandatory), PAN Card / Voter ID / Passport.
Selection Process
- Candidates will be sourced from the Apprenticeship Portals Database.
- Merit-based selection on marks obtained in the qualifying degree/diploma.
- Preference given to candidates belonging to the state where the power station is located.
- Final list will be published at www.neepco.co.in and call letters will be sent via registered email.

- Register on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS 2.0) portal – https://nats.education.gov.in
- Obtain your enrolment ID from the Board of Practical Training (BOPT).
- Log in to the NATS dashboard and search for “NEEPCO”.
- Apply against the relevant Advertisement ID as mentioned in the official notification.
For ITI Trade Apprentices
- Register on the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) portal – https://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in
- Obtain a valid enrolment ID.
- Log in and search for NEEPCO (Establishment Code: E02161700001).
- Apply for the desired Trade / Opportunity Code.

- No Application Fee is required.
- Apply only against the specific Advertisement ID / Opportunity Code mentioned in the official notice.
- Upload clear, legible documents including:
- Academic certificates with marks/percentage
