About the Organisation
The Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO), under the Ministry of Defence, is India’s premier agency engaged in the design, development and production of advanced defence systems. DRDO operates more than 50 laboratories across India, covering areas such as aeronautics, missiles, combat vehicles, electronics, materials, and life sciences.
The Centre for Fire, Explosive and Environment Safety (CFEES), located in Timarpur, Delhi, is a specialized DRDO laboratory dedicated to fire safety engineering, explosive risk analysis, hazardous material testing, environmental protection and defence-related safety systems. CFEES supports the Indian Armed Forces through research, evaluation, certification, and development of technologies to minimize fire and explosive hazards.
CFEES offers ITI Apprenticeship Training every year under the Apprentices Act, 1961, to enhance technical skills for fresh ITI graduates.
Notification Summary
DRDO–CFEES invites online applications from eligible ITI candidates for Apprenticeship Training (1 Year) across multiple trades. Only ITI candidates who passed in 2023, 2024 or 2025 are eligible to apply. Applications must be submitted online through the Apprenticeship India portal before the closing date.

Essential Qualification (Part–1)
- Candidates must have passed ITI in relevant trade from an institute recognized by NCVT.
- ITI duration must be 2 years for all trades except COPA (which may be 1 year).
- Only ITI pass-outs of 2023, 2024 and 2025 are eligible.
- Candidates possessing Diploma/Graduate qualifications are not eligible.
- Candidates with ITI certificates from SCVT are not eligible unless recognized by NCVT.

Important Instructions (Part–3)
- Duration of training will be as per Apprentices Act, 1961 and amendments.
- Registration on NCVT MIS Portal (https://ncvtmis.gov.in) is mandatory.
- Candidates awaiting results of ITI final exam are not eligible.
- Provisional certificates may be accepted at joining, but final NCVT certificates must be produced later.
- Only candidates who studied ITI through regular mode are eligible.
- Candidates who have already completed apprenticeship training or have more than one year work experience are not eligible.
- No TA/DA for interview, document verification, or joining.
- No accommodation/hostel facilities will be provided during training.
General Instructions (Part–4)
- Selection and training under Apprentices Act do not guarantee employment after completion.
- If at any stage false information/documents are found, candidature will be cancelled immediately.
- Candidates must bring original documents along with printout of online application during interview/verification.

- 10th/12th Marksheet & Certificate
- ITI Marksheet & NCVT Certificate
- Caste Certificate (if applicable)
- Aadhaar Card
- Police Verification Certificate at the time of joining
- Candidates will receive communication via registered email regarding selection status.
Duration of Training & Stipend (Part–5)
- Training Duration: 1 Year
- Stipend: ₹9,600 per month
- No additional allowances are provided.
Selection Process (Part–6)
- Shortlisting based on percentage of marks in ITI.
- Screening Test and/or Interview for shortlisted candidates.
- Screening/Interview will be conducted at CFEES, Timarpur, Delhi.
- Final selection will be communicated through email/SMS.

- Fill all fields accurately and upload clear scanned copies of required documents.
- Marks must be entered in percentage; candidates with CGPA must convert as per institute rules.
- Candidates must bring a hard copy of the application and original documents during verification.
- Applications submitted after the last date or incomplete forms will be rejected.
